Why does Wikipedia wants to start a New Search Engine Wikiasari.com?
The founder of web encyclopedia wikipedia says that he has started a new search engine called wikiasari.com to rival Google and Yahoo.
Do you know why he wants to start a search engine of Wiki? After seeing more visitors for Wiki and Wiki being one of top searched keywords of major search engine Google for the year 2006. His thoughts went to startup a Search Engine to take rivalry of Google, Yahoo and MSN. Is this Correct which Wiki is doing? Wiki has started in 2003 and got developed with the help of Google and other Search Engines.
Every informative search in Google will gives you a result for Wiki with in its first three positions. Because Wiki as got a good quality content and most informative. Wiki is famous and getting searches because of Google and not as a direct search. Wiki won’t be that big without Google, if Wiki wants to start a search engine to rival Google that won’t be a successful I feel.
If every one starts its own search engine after a bit success then there won’t be any good sites in the world every site will startup as a search engine.
